Coffee Fundamentals

The best coffee grows in the most remote places on earth. It needs mountains, the perfect microclimate & constant care as it's grown & harvested. It’s cultivated by dedicated farmers & requires a certain amount of sustainability to last.

For this reason, we’ve partnered with Counter Culture who is all about sourcing & roasting exceptional coffee. For two decades, they have been a pioneer of coffee quality & sustainability. Counter Culture continues to cultivate relationships with growers & organizations around the world in order to build trust, improve quality & foster transparency.

Our Brewed Coffee

Our Dark Roast

FORTY-SIX

TASTING NOTES
DARK CHOCOLATE • SMOKY • FULL-BODIED

Forty-six is currently our dark roast drip offering. Forty-Six’s components were carefully chosen to maximize sweetness and maintain complexity through dark roasting.

Our Light Roast

NOTES

Our light roast coffee offering is always a single-origin coffee and is switched out seasonally.

So what is a single-origin coffee? Single-origin coffee is usually cultivated (farmed) by only one farm. Most coffees are mixed in with a multitude of farmers from a specific region while single-origin coffees are farmed by one farmer.

Our Iced Coffee

Flashed Brewed

There are different ways one can make an iced coffee, the most common is either a cold brew or flash brewed. At Austin’s, we make our iced coffee using the method of Flash Brewed. For this coffee, we specifically use a medium roasted coffee called gradient.

GRADIENT

TASTING NOTES
DARK CHOCOLATE • ROASTED NUTS • BERRY

Gradient is our new medium to light roast iced coffee. It’s a completely Columbian coffee coming from small-scale farmers. It’s our homage to the rich offerings of Columbian coffees.

Our Espresso

Espresso is a great way to amplify the characteristics of your favorite coffee. Using pressure to force hot water through finely ground, compacted coffee, espresso is more concentrated than coffee brewed using other methods. While espresso has more caffeine per-unit volume than most other coffee drinks, because of its smaller serving size, the total caffeine content is actually lower than a standard cup of coffee.

Our Espresso

HOLOGRAM

TASTING NOTES
FRUITY • MILK CHOCOLATE • SYRUPY

Hologram’s recipe always includes a natural sundried coffee. Naturally sundried coffees have punchy fruit notes and a fuller body and those are some of the primary flavors of Hologram.

Our Decaf Espresso

SLOW MOTION

TASTING NOTES
MOLASSES • COCOA • SMOOTH

Slow Motion Counter Culture pays extra attention to decaf because people love it solely for its flavor.
