Our Café General Manager contributes to Austin’s Coffee Crafters success by leading our team and guiding the customer experience. They provide direction and enthusiasm to maintain and grow our business as one of the most popular coffee shops in the area.
Major Tasks Include
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of Austin’s Coffee Crafters
Employee scheduling and timesheet monitoring
Solving challenges faced by customers and employees
Overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the shop
Maintaining inventory, ordering, and receiving product
Complete Lead, Front of House and Kitchen/Baker responsibilities as needed
Hiring and training employees in collaboration with Owners and Leads
Supporting Owners with bookkeeping, maintaining records, and running deposits

Cafe Lead
Training Coordinator & Lead
Leads share their past experiences, along with passion for coffee, tea & supporting/coaching in-coming team members. The cafe leads also provide continued leadership to all team members.
Major Tasks Include
Create an exceptional café experience
Handle customer conflict
Maintain café maintenance & cleanliness
Authorize discounts and void items as needed on the POS system
Assist with managing inventory
Manage café employees day to day operations, such as facilitating breaks and station assignments
Close drawers and complete daily financial ledger
Complete Front of House and Kitchen/Baker responsibilities as needed
Educate customers on all products
Maintain high quality & consistent product standards
Cup & taste coffee/tea regularly to maintain familiarity with product & quality standards

Major Responsibilities
Batch brew coffee & tea
Use an espresso grinder & machine for brewing espresso & steaming milk
Prepare sandwiches, salads & baked goods
Stock bakery counter & maintain its appearance
Stock condiment counter & paper goods
Greet all customers with a friendly smile
Provide friendly, efficient & personal service to each customer
Create a rapport with customers by learning their names & favorite drinks
Educate customers on all of our products
Maintain high quality & consistent product standards
Strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction
Accurately process transactions in the Point of Sale system
Stay informed of new coffee availability & attributes

The Kitchen hands have a love for baking goods & serving up killer sandwiches. They are responsible for our bakery & house made bread.
Major Responsibilities:
Maintain high quality & consistent product standards by following recipes
Effectively prepare baked goods according to strict schedule
Taste baked goods regularly to maintain familiarity with product & quality standards
Prepare & organize sandwich/salad prep station including, but not limited to the slicing of bread, meat & cheese, filling ingredient bins, and washing & chopping of fruits/vegetables
Operate and clean equipment such as meat slicer, mixer & convection oven
Take inventory of supplies & food, ensuring that the kitchen always has accurate stock
Clean all kitchen surfaces, mop & sweep floors, put away dishes, pots & pans, organize food, clean out refrigerators/freezers
Wash dishes & utensils by hand. Ensure dishes are adequately sanitized by maintaining required water temperature & chemical levels
Remove trash
Operate quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment & remain calm under pressure
